Registration and Submission closed

The deadline for registration and submission ended June 30th 2011. The following paragraphs are left for documentation only.

Conditions of participation

In order to participate in the project INTIMATE SPACE and to submit a contribution, please make sure to register for the project. We will confirm your registration per email and send you a submission-code. When your contribution is ready to be submitted, we ask you to completely fill out the application form, including your submission-code, name, address and email address, accept the conditions of participation and send it to Georgia Creimer. Text and picture material can be submitted both as a file to be uploaded or sent by normal mail to postal box Georgia Creimer / Intimate Space, PF 35, 1071 Wien, Austria. Contributions will only be accepted if they meet these and the following conditions  and are received by Georgia Creimer by May 31, 2011 at the latest in digital or analog form. Pictures, texts, files and/or material sent to Georgia Creimer will not be returned even if the submitted work is not selected as one of the 42 finalists.

Picture contribution

The picture can be submitted either as a digital file or as a slide.

Photograph, digital:

  • high format (upright format)
  • image format 3:4
  • TIF-file in RGB 8-bit color mode
  • image size: 32cm high x 24cm wide (not interpolated)
  • resolution: 300 dpi (not interpolated)
  • Since the final format of 240 x 180 cm requires a high resolution, a digital SRL camera with at least 14 mio pixels should be used.

Photograph, analogous:

  • slide
  • maximum 100 ASA/ISO
  • high format (upright format)
  • image format 3:4
  • if a slide is being submitted, it is necessary to define the picture section in a 3:4 format by means of added layout

Legal conditions

By submitting his/her text as well as foto and/or picture material, each person who wishes to participate in the project INTIMATE SPACE and who applies for the selection process grants Georgia Creimer for the project INTIMATE SPACE and for the projects based on it (book publication, online publications, exhibitions) free of charge the transferable, but not exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute in whatever form and to exploit in any form as well as online to make available these texts and/or pictures and/or photographs

  • unlimited in time and space,
  • in its/their original form as well as in an adapted form,
  • also for commercial purposes in connection with the project INTIMATE SPACE and the projects based on it (book publication, online publication, exhibitions).

  • to adapt them accordingly,
  • to combine and use them together with other texts and/or pictures and/or photographs selected by Georgia Creimer in whatever form Georgia Creimer sees fit for the project INTIMATE SPACE and for the projects based on it (book publication, online publications, exhibitions),
  • to integrate them in its/their original or adapted form in an overall artistic concept,
  • to exhibit and present it/them publicly,
    also without being obliged to name the title(s) of the work.
    Each participants confirms and guarantees that
  • he/she is free to grant Georgia Creimer all rights mentioned,
  • that he/she has not granted these or conflicting rights to a third party.



The selection of the 42 participants out of the wide range of material submitted falls into the sole competence of Georgia Creimer. No one has a right to claim participation in the project INTIMATE SPACE.  Application by invitation only.

By submitting his/her texts and/or pictures and/or photographs and personal data for the project INTIMATE SPACE and the projects based on it (book publication, online publications, exhibitions) each participant declares his consent that Georgia Creimer is entitled to use and process his/her personal data in this context electronically.

Austrian material law is applicable, with the exclusion of Austrian private law. For all disputes arising out of or in connection with the project INTIMATE SPACE and the projects based on it (book publication, online publications, exhibitions) between Georgia Creimer or third parties whose rights derive from her and any person submitting for or participating in the project, the Court for Commercial Affairs for Vienna (Handelsgericht Wien) shall be competent.
