I can still smell the fresh waffles my mother made each Friday after school when I was growing up.
The image and its setting attempts to recapture the feelings I remember.
The bluntness of the alterations highlights the impossibility of reconstructing specific moments in time, bringing to the fore the tragicomic nature inherent to the very attempt.
