The search for intimacy in space is an interesting phenomenon. I find it reflected in nature where intimacy is simultaneously created and denied. There is a certain tension between intimacy and the public; between the hidden and the visible. Walking in the forest produces a certain feeling of hide and seek for me, of intimacy as well as the inability to hide away.
Katja Scharkowski, Berlin, Germany
